Alena Leonova commented on her rather unsuccessful skating in the interview to the All Sport news agency.
Q: Do you agree with the judges who have downgraded your 3-3 combination and given one of your spins the first level?
A: I did underrotate the second toeloop. As for the rest, I'll have to examine the video. I wasn't feeling that something was wrong while skating.
Q: At Nationals you were complaining of the fatigue after the exhausting GP series.
A: I've had enough time to rest and muster my strength. Maybe I came to Sheffield a bit earlier than I should have come, on the 24 of January. I've spent here too much time waiting for the competitions to begin.
Q: Nevertheless, tomorrow you'll skate your free program in the last warm-up group, which means you'll have a chance to save the situation.
A: There is no other way out. I will try to do all the planned elements to make the podium. The gap between me and the leaders isn't very large.
Q: What had you been doing to fill in time before the ladies' competition began?
A: The weather is indisposing for walks, and I've put off shopping, too. I was watching other competitions and cheering for my teammates. I very much liked the way Gachinski skated his short program.
