Here are pictures from Alena’s second trip to Switzerland, where she was working on her short program, took a course of physical training, shared the ice with two world champions, Stephane Lambiel and Daisuke Takahashi, and also visited Switzerland’s best lady skater Sarah Meier.
Last weekend 2010 Grand Prix selection was made at the ISU Congeress in Barcelona. Alena’s 8th position in the ISU standings and her last season’s best (11th in the SB list) allowed her to participate in two GP events. According to the selection, she will enter the Cup of China (November 5-7 Beijing) and the Cup of Russia (November 19-21, Moscow).

Read about chasing after sun loungers, a fearsome moray and late-at-night discos in a new blog entry concerning a family vacation in Alanya and entitled My Summer. Pictures from Turkey are to be found here.
Not long ago Alena returned from Switzerland, where she was staying in a training camp in the small town of Dubendorf. She had her new short program choreographed there; beside that she had some time to recreate thanks to the change of scene, take a walk around Zurich and enjoy the friendly company of Swiss skaters.
Last week Alena’s new free program was choreographed on the home ice of the Figure Skating Academy. Later she will tell you herself about how the new programs were created and how the music and images were chosen.
