Today on the ice of the Academy of Figure Skating in St. Petersburg, where the international Panin Memorial’s competitions take place, ladies skated their short programs. Alena placed second with a half-point margine from the leader (61.52).

For the second time over two consecutive years Alena became one of the winners of the Russian FSO Awards, Russia’s first independent prize in the field of figure skating. This time Alena won in the Best Ladies Program nomination. Her short program Barynya choreographed by Tatiana Tarasova, was voted last season’s best one. ... Read more »

ISU Grand Prix Cup of Russia concluded yesterday at the Megasport arena. Alena finished 9th among 10 participants.
Ladies’ competitions have concluded in Beijing. Alena came in 3rd in the free skating and won the bronze medal!
