My Summer
Hi there! I can’t wait to tell you about my holidays in Alanya. First of all, I liked it there very much. Our hotel named Green Hill was indeed situated on a hill, so we had to climb up and walk down all the time. No way around training!) First thing we did every morning was not having breakfast but gong to the beach to occupy sun loungers, because that’s what all the holidayers were doing, and there was quite a lot of them. And almost all of them were Russians; people from other countries were few and far between. Anyway, by 7.30 all the sun loungers had been already occupied. So, our motto was: Occupy a lounger and feel free to go and have breakfast then) After the breakfast we would walk to the beach. For the first three days the sea was unbelievably rough, with the waves so huge that they would occasionally reach us lying on the beach and carry away our flip-flops) But the weather was very fine. Though it was hot (28 C°), it wasn’t at all muggy outside.

The catering was good, there were various salads, trimmings, fruits and desserts for any taste. However, all the most delicious desserts were usually swept away in ten minutes. The supper would begin at 19.00, and by 19.10 the desserts would have already vanished into thin air) Well, it didn’t upset me that much, I was trying to keep myself in check anyway. I was even doing fitness machine exercises. I was trying to swim as much as I could – not in a swimming pool, mind you, but in the sea, though there were two swimming pools in the grounds of the hotel, one of them with slides. It is more healthsome to swim in the sea. But ‘more healthsome’ doesn’t mean ‘safer’… Two days before our departure I saw people crowding around something lying on the beach, and thought that it was a crab or something like that. But when I came up to the spot, I nearly screamed, because it wasn’t a crab but a snake-like fish of the eel family. Yes, it was a real moray! Thank God, a good-hearted man lifted it with a kid’s shovel, took to a desolate place and set it free there. Later I found information about morays on the Internet. As it happens, they are very dangerous for people. A grown-up moray has four rows of teeth! We were lucky to encounter just a baby.

Well, I paid so much attention to that creature, as if there was nothing interesting except for it) And indeed nothing else surprised me, even the hotel animation seemed a bit boring. Good for children, maybe, but not for a group of grown-ups, that’s for sure. If I were an animator, I would invent something more amusing. We went to the disco a few times, and it was a cool place, with a dance-floor, light chaser and everything, like in a night club. But the inconvenient thing was that it opened at 23.30. By that time we would already have been so tired that all we were able to do was to climb up the hill and throw ourselves on our beds)

Maybe you would like to learn something about excursions, but unfortunately (or fortunately?) I didn’t go on a single one. For one thing, they were inconveniently scheduled; then, I had come there to relax, after all; and, finally, after that tragic accident with a tourist bus I had no desire to go sightseeing at all. So, I spent my holydays lying on the beach, eating fruits and vegetables and gaining strength for the new season. Summing up, I can say that such relaxation did me good, both physically and mentally. Now I’m ready to go back into action with renewed energy!

Oh, I came near forgetting that while my mother, brother and I were sunbathing, my younger sister Katya graduated from a music school with honours! That’s a good girl!

Moreover, when I returned home, she did a photo shoot of me in a leopard style. She is a girl of various gifts, I can tell you!)

Well, that’s all! Hope next time I will reveal the secret of my new programs to you. Yes, I like intriguing! Bye-bye)
